There are over 2,000 children in foster care in Hillsborough County. The holiday season is upon us and we are partnering with the Foster Angels of Hillsborough County a non-profit 501(C)(3) comprised of dedicated volunteers. Together we are looking for generous community sponsors to help us make sure every child in care has their Holiday wish-list fulfilled.
Every child in care is represented with an Angel tag, detailing their Holiday wish list. Each gift is carefully tracked and distributed in partnership with Hillsborough Kids to ensure accountability.
How To Get Involved:
- Display Foster Angel ornaments at your place of business, worship or recreation. Each ornament lists a child's name, age, sex and specific wish list. Employees, customers or members can select an ornament to purchase gifts off the child's wish list. The selected ornament with unwrapped gifts are then returned to your location before the December 12 deadline. - Make a tax deductible donation to Hillsborough Kids and let our Foster Angels team do the shopping. Checks can be made out to Hillsborough Kids, Inc and mailed to 9309 N Florida Ave., Suite 107 Tampa, Fl 33612. Please write Foster Angels in the memo of your check.
Support our Teens:
- Make a tax deductible donation to our Teen Holiday Campaign and we will purchase gift cards to fulfill our teens holiday requests. Donations can be made online or checks can be mailed to 9309 N Florida Ave., Suite 107 Tampa, Fl 33612. Please specify Teen Holiday Campaign in the memo.
- Attend one of our catered Holiday Lunch and Learn's compliments of Noah's Cafe where you will learn about some of the ways Hillsborough Kids is helping kids and families in the community, and how you can help. Lunch is on us when you bring a holiday gift card for our teens in care! November 30- " Discover Family Finding" December 7- "What's it like to be a foster parent?" and December 14-The Lazydays Center for Youth Development, our homless youth program. Foster Angels Gift Pick-up and Drop-off:
- Gifts should be turned into your location by December 12 if gift pick-up is needed. To schedule gift pick-up contact Jessica Graham Community Relations Specialist at 813.225-1105 x1158
- Gifts dropped off at the Foster Angels Toy warehouse have until December 15. The Toy warehouse is located at: 4740 Transport Drive in Tampa.
