Goal-directed, face-to-face psychotherapeutic interventions provided to the family with the participant present. May be provided in home or community.  Helping children form healthy connections is an essential cornerstone for further attachments and aimed at establishing stability and permanency for the child. Before trauma and/or a history of maltreatment can be accessed, children must feel emotionally safe. This is accomplished through fostering more secure attachment with current caregivers. Parents are involved as partners in all stages of treatment and Carol acts as mentor and guide, always redirecting attachment towards the parents and family grouping. It is expected and predicted that families may return periodically as they experience family or developmental crises or transitions. Additional services include: parent(s) processing of issues that impact the patient, trauma therapy (EMDR),attachment therapy, family attachment parenting groups (with sufficient enrollment), and training and presentation (parent and professionals).

Services include referrals for therapeutic services, support groups, respite, resource library and mentoring of families. This is the single point of contact for an adoptive family post adoption, if the family cannot locate an adoption competent provider through Medicaid or private insurance.
