Consider becoming a foster parent. Together we can build strong families in Hillsborough County.

Why does Hillsborough Kids need you?
Approximately 1,000 children in Hillsborough County live in licensed foster care due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. Children ages 0-17 are often part of a sibling group. The goal for these children is safety and permanency through safe reunification. We need families that can provide temporary care for these special children until they return home.
The challenges can be great, but so are the rewards.
Patience, commitment, and unconditional support; these are key to parenting children in our system of care. Most children thrive as they adjust and grow in a secure home environment. Are there special requirements? Yes. Foster and adoptive parents of our children must be consistent, yet flexible, strong, yet nurturing.
