Director of Community Relations
Job Summary:
This position will work with senior management to develop and execute an integrated communications and development plan. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and maintaining effective community relations; community service and education events; obtaining contributions and resources from public/private sector in support of children in the child welfare system; preparing press releases, newsletters, collateral materials and other written material as necessary; coordinating volunteer efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Communications, PR or related field from four-year college or university; and a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training.
Help Desk Specialist
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing and supporting highly available communications tools to HKI staff and partner agencies. This position supports the mission of HKI by ensuring HKI staff and partner agencies can more effectively perform their jobs by performing the following duties:
• Performs client computer and telecom-related hardware and software setups and manages equipment distribution.
• Logs help desk calls and performs end-user support and troubleshooting of hardware, software, telecom, user accounts, and network connectivity.
• Creates and manages user login accounts and mailboxes, including disabling accounts and preserving data of users separating from HKI.
• Performs hardware upgrades, repairs, updates, and redistribution of client hardware.
• Provides end-users an orientation to using HKI equipment and accessing network resources and processes.
• Ensures all inventory control processes are followed for all technology related hardware, including asset tagging and reporting on asset distribution and transfers to Finance and Accounting per defined procedures.
• Manages directory structure and security on data folders.
• Participates in server and network-related hardware setup, management, troubleshooting, and maintenance, including network printing devices, wireless equipment, and other networking devices.
• Performs data backups to ensure disaster recovery, ensuring data backups are performed per the HKI disaster recovery policy.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Resource Specialist
Job Summary:
This position is housed with the Child Protective Investigators (CPI) to provide up front services to families that have allegations of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. The goal is to ensure safety, permanency and promote family preservation by providing families with comprehensive services and linking them with community support systems. This position is responsible for giving resources and referrals to clients as identified by CPID and to assist relatives so children can remain with them and not enter the Hillsborough Kids, Inc. System of Care.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
Training Specialist
Job Summary:
Primary responsibilities include: Facilitate classroom training for pre-service child welfare curriculum Assist with curriculum development Provide hands-on, field based training for new care management employees Oversee field training guide, certification, and recertification of care management staff Provide in-service and advanced training to care management staff based on Quality Assurance/Management outcomes, “Best Practice, and community resource Cross train activities with Quality Assurance Department
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree Basic understanding of statistics Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint Employee must complete “Train the Trainer” curriculum within first 6 months of employment becoming certified as a child welfare trainer Preferred: Experience identifying trends and at least two years’ experience in child welfare or related field.
Vice President of Risk Management
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for identification, investigation, analysis and evaluation of risks within the organization. Determining the most advantageous method of correcting, reducing, or eliminating identifiable risks by ensuring appropriate policy, procedure and practice are in place. The risk management function will also encompass organizational responsibility such as human resources, labor laws and oversight of all insurance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and seven to ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
